“Casa hotel in Chesterfield is our winner for Comfiest Bed. Their reviews are glowing for the beds (and the hotel in general) – the fact that they’re King Size too is an added bonus!”

“I love that the owners made it bigger and better after it was destroyed in a flood, when many would have just given up. They really see service as core to their success, and with both daughters opting to stay at the hotel and work, it sounds like a difficult place to leave for both guests and staff!”


A family run Country House in 70 acres of parkland with its own lake and award-winning modern French restaurant.
Judges’ comments:
“By far the most interesting dining destination is Brockencote Hall. It offers a slew of sophisticated options to guests in age-old Victorian surroundings (with a contemporary update, of course). Menus are locally-sourced whenever possible, giving it the eco edge to be a cut above their competitors.”


Eccleston Square Hotel is a high tech luxury boutique hotel in central London. One of the first hotels to offer iPad2s in every room, guests are also treated to state-of-the-art technology including 3D LED TVs and Blu-ray players.
